“Supporting the English-speaking community in West Quebec”
An opportunity for youth‼
An opportunity for youth‼
The Priority-Setting Summit Project is an event organized by Y4Y Quebec.
The primary goal of this project is to mobilize and increase civic engagement among Québec’s English-speaking youth while providing them with the tools necessary to develop strong leadership skills for the future.
This will be accomplished by giving English-speaking youth an accessible platform to share their concerns, exchange knowledge and ideas, identify the core needs of their community and set priorities for the future.
The two-day Priority-Setting Summit event will be held to provide youth with learning opportunities via educational workshops, special guest speakers, youth leadership training, mentorship, and networking activities with 5 à 7 cocktail formula at Dawson College on November 13-14, 2021.
Youth participants attending the Summit will be divided into 6 teams to work on the elaboration of Strategic Plans based on the 6 key issues identified by the Project's Youth Advisory Committee (Education, Civic Engagement, Professional Abilities, Diversity & Inclusion, Professional Development and Employment Concerns).
This will help build the main goal of PSSP which is to develop a 5-year Strategic Plan to positively impact outcomes for English-speaking youth that will be presented to the Government.
